With Felipe Massa making his debut in Formula E next season, the Brazilian has admitted that it's a "big challenge" for him to adapt to the sport, saying that he's learning more day by day.

Back in May, Massa was announced to be Venturi's new driver for next season in Formula E. He already tested for Jaguar at the end of 2016, but shortly after he decided to prolong his Formula 1 career at Williams for one more year in 2017 instead of making the switch to FE.

"It's a big challenge to drive this car, so many different things that we need to learn," Massa told Autosport when speaking about driving Venturi's FE car, the VFE-05 Gen2.

"It's a completely different car - no downforce, road tyres, the different engine with just the electric battery, [and], I would say, not even gears.

"So the way you drive, the braking, they are completely different to what [I am] used to having [in my] whole career.

"It's definitely a big challenge to learn, but I can say from the first day I drove the car until now I grew and I learn a lot how to drive the car.

"I'm just learning day by day."

In the fifth season of Formula E, Massa will be partnered by Swiss-Italian driver Edoardo Mortara, with Venturi explaining that the duo have good chemistry and a good mixed bag of racing experience.
