Soon to be Sauber driver Kimi Raikkonen has completed his seat fitting at the Swiss team, prompting speculation whether the Finn could already be doing some testing for the team later this year.

The Finn lives close to Sauber's headquarters in Hinwil, making it easier for him to visit the factory for a seat fitting.

Sources have told Autosport that Raikkonen was at the factory on Friday to meet with the senior staff, as well as for the seat fitting, giving the team as much time as possible to build the car around the mould of his body.

The advantage of having a seat already is that Raikkonen could be doing some testing for Sauber in 2018 already. The 2007 champion skipped last week's Pirelli test at Paul Ricard, as Charles Leclerc took place in a Ferrari to do some runs for the tyre manufacturer. It's entirely possible that Raikkonen could do the next Pirelli test for Sauber in Mexico later this season.
