Leclerc brands Singapore as "almost perfect race"

Charles Leclerc has branded his race last Sunday as "almost perfect". He finished inside the points and claims his car set up felt very good despite a crash in FP1.

Leclerc's racing profile received a huge upgrade in the weeks' build-up to the Singapore Grand Prix, but the man from Monaco collected his emotions come race day. Once again, he out-qualified and out-raced his team-mate, Marcus Ericsson, as he looks to find a launch pad into his Ferrari car.

"What a race - it was quite close to being perfect," Leclerc told the media. "We had strong lap times, and the balance of the car felt good from the beginning to the end.

"We made a great recovery this weekend, after having a weaker race pace on Friday. With our strategy, we were able to fight our way to the front of the midfield and finish in the points again."

Leclerc has now picked up 15 points in F1.
