De Vries on performance improvements: 'Were two good weeks'

Nyck de Vries is on the rise within Formula 1. The AlphaTauri driver received a warning from Helmut Marko that his performance needed to improve considerably, and the Dutchman has now had two good weekends in a row, both at the Monaco Grand Prix and the Spanish Grand Prix.

"I think the past two weekends have been encouraging. Obviously, we're going to such different tracks all the time, you need quite an all-around package. Canada will be a bit different, but yeah, it's been a good past two weeks, and I hope we can continue to build on this and kind of put ourselves in a position we can capitalise on every opportunity.", De Vries told a press event attended by GPblog.

De Vries on performance

De Vries may be improving his performance considerably, but he has yet to score any points this season. Despite that fact, the Dutchman is fairly satisfied, but he also knows that some things still need to change.

"Of course, there are always plenty of things that I would have liked to have done better. I felt like yesterday, we definitely had more pace to fight for a better position, but that's racing. I think the key is to be more consistent there and to be globally more competitive, and then those things will come."
