While most people thought Kimi Raikkonen would retire after his time at Ferrari, the Ice Man surprised the world by signing on for two years at Sauber, and the Finn could be set to break a host of F1 records.

The most prestigious record he could break is one that is currently held by Rubens Barrichello, which is the record for most Grands Prix driven. The Brazilian, who drove for 18 seasons after his debut in 1993, has driven a whopping 326 Grands Prix.

Currently, Raikkonen sits fifth in that ranking with 287 races, has at least 47 more races to drive until his two-year contract at Sauber ends in 2020. Should he drive all of them, it would take him to 334, a new record.

The same goes for both the most kilometres driven in F1 (Alonso holds that record with 82.352 km) and the most laps completed (Michael Schumacher, 16.825 laps). If Kimi drives all of the races for the next two-and-a-bit seasons, he should be surpassing those two records. No doubt he's very excited to be the new record-holder!
