Susie Wolff, wife of Mercedes boss, Toto - believes that not enough talented people are applying the technical jobs in Formula One...

Wolff explained this whilst talking about her husband's problems at Mercedes, where Toto is struggling to find the top quality people who can benefit his team back at Brackley.

"They're very conscious of the fact that there's not enough people applying for the top positions," she said to Forbes Magazine. "The head of HR at Mercedes is also very aware of that and is trying to change the situation.

"Toto is not concerned about what gender they employ. He's just concerned about the level of talent. He will always pick the best candidate for that role, regardless of gender."

Bosses of teams in the sport are also cautious about any future cost cap which looks likely, so they won't be able to pay their staff as much or not as many staff members per team.

This might price them out of the market for the top level engineers etc. and force them to cut down on how many employees they have.

"In the UK, you are talking about potentially thousands of jobs," Red Bull boss Christian Horner said earlier this year. "Our biggest cost drivers are regulations, sporting and technical."
