Max Verstappen is looking forward for next weekend's Grand Prix in Singapore, as the Dutchman knows Red Bull will have a good chance to be competitive there, and maybe even battle for the win.

Last race in Monza, Verstappen had another controversial moment as he and Valtteri Bottas touched heading into the first chicane. Verstappen got penalized, which cost him two places, but the Dutchman was adamant he left Bottas enough space to avoid a collision.

Now, the F1 travels to Asia, where the Singapore Grand Prix will take place next weekend. The 20-year-old fancies his chances there.

"The whole team is looking forward to the race in Singapore because we know there's a good chance of a good result there," Verstappen explained on his own website, Verstappen.nl.

"We've been strong in the past and I think we can fight for the podium this year.

"I enjoy driving there; it's a curvy circuit and it's bumpy, but that makes it more interesting to find the right set-up for the car."

The youngster, who will have a new teammate in Pierre Gasly next season, explains that Singapore is the most physically taxing race out of all Grands Prix on the calendar.

"The night race and the high temperatures push you to your limits, for me Singapore is the toughest race of the season physically.

"I've been preparing for it for a while.

"A night race is a bit different with the artificial lighting, it adds a different aspect that we don't have with most races."
