Chief Technical Officer of Williams, Paddy Lowe expects even more pain for the side, who have already endured so much this season.

The first-half of the season has been nothing short of a nightmare for the Williams team; as they sit rock bottom of the Constructors' Standings and Lowe expects things to get even worse for the side.

There has been a slight positive for the team in the form of a new front wing which has helped some of the team's more obvious problems - however, this has also highlighted more problems for the Williams team.

"As you start digging, you find more and more problems. We have to make up a lot of ground," Lowe told Auto Motor und Sport this week. "In the meantime, we have to endure the pain until there is a solution.

"We hope to make some more changes after the (summer break) but it won't be half of what we need. It's mainly aerodynamics but also more than that. The car lacks stability. We've fallen behind compared to last year."

Williams are now approaching the point in this season, where they can decide to fully focus on next season and essentially give up on their dismal campaign, or try to revive what's left of this season, and Lowe reveals that they are focussing on the latter.

"We're hoping for a better second-half before we concentrate fully on the 2019 car," Lowe revealed.
