Valtteri Bottas certainly cannot look back on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with a good feeling. The Finn came in as the straggler of the day. He himself suspects it is down to his car's problems.

Soon after the start, debris was already whizzing around. Bottas was also hit in the scramble. "The car didn’t feel right, we couldn’t get any grip from the beginning of the race and we need to figure out exactly what happened.“I ran over a large piece of debris on Lap 1, so perhaps I was carrying some damage to the floor," Bottas said in an interview with Formula1.

Alfa Romeo gets updates

Teammate Guanyu Zhou finished 13th, just 12 seconds behind spot 10. Indeed, Zhou's times confirm Bottas' suspicions that there was something wrong with the car. These updates should help Bottas to a better classification in Australia.

Bottas, who drove himself handsomely into the points at the Bahrain Grand Prix, sees a quick improvement ahead. " Zhou had a much better pace, so I don’t think this weekend was very representative, and I am confident we can be back fighting for points in Australia.” Said the 33-year-old Finn.
