Despite not taking any points in his race in Bahrain, Nico Hulkenberg was very happy with his team. In Jeddah, he finished 12th, but again he looks back on this with a smile. After a four-year break, Nico has found the joy all over again.

Hulkenberg saw teammate Kevin Magnussen pick up a single point for Haas as he finished just outside the points in 12th. Haas, which now has one point in the Constructors' Championship, is keen to build on last year's eighth-place finish.

First race Hulkenberg

The 35-year-old German said in an interview with Formula 1, that this was his first representative race of the season. “Bahrain was very difficult to understand with the damage that I had. I think we kind of had to forget about it and regroup – so here was kind of a fresh start, race one for us,” he said.

In a week and a half, Hulkenberg will get to show his best side in Australia in what is only his second race of the season. Haas will again try to drive in the points and improve on last year's eighth-place finish.
