For Williams, the Formula One season started better than expected with Alexander Albon finishing tenth in Bahrain. Ahead of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, the Thai believes there may be more in it.

After driving around the back of the grid in recent years, Williams seems to have taken a nice step forward with the FW45. Albon and Logan Sargeant were particularly competitive in the race, which allowed Albon to score a point in the very first race of the season. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit should suit the FW45 even better.

Even more points for Williams

''On paper, it’s a track that might suit us a little better than Bahrain, so we'll see once we're there. We're still understanding the car and it will be interesting to go to a different track to learn more about the car,'' Albon let Williams' press release note.

Sargeant narrowly missed out on points in Bahrain, but the American did make a good impression on his F1 debut. ''I'm really looking forward to round two in Saudi. We've built a great foundation in Bahrain to work from. Hopefully we can continue to be competitive and keep improving as a team. Obviously, Jeddah is a very challenging circuit so we're going to have to build into the weekend with the aim to come away with a positive result.''

For Williams, the start of the season was very positive. In 2022, the British team scored its first point only in the third race in Australia, before racking up seven more points in the rest of the season. Especially in racing, the team seems to be in much better shape now.
