Fernando Alonso had a good weekend: besides his own successful debut race for Aston Martin, the Spaniard saw his protégés take wins in Formula 3.

Formula 3 drivers win both races in Bahrain

Alonso set up his own management agency some time back: A14 Management, a reference to Alonso's grid number 14. The aim of the management agency is to provide guidance and support to young drivers as they try to find their way in motorsport. It now has seven drivers under its wing, including two drivers in Formula 3.

These drivers were the big winners in Formula 3 last weekend. On the weekend when Alonso himself managed his first podium in a year and a half in Formula 1, Pepe Marti won the Formula 3 sprint race and a day later Gabriel Bortoleto won the feature race in the same class.

The other drivers in the A14 Management have had a slightly less successful season. In Formula 2, Clement Novalak has yet to score a single point, and Formula E driver Maximilian Gunther is also without points, having failed to reach the finish line in two of the five races.
