It is finally here again: the 2023 Formula 1 season is just around the corner. First up is the Bahrain Grand Prix. Find out what time and where to tune in for the first GP of the year.

What time does the Bahrain Grand Prix start?

The teams will remain in Bahrain after the pre-season test, where the first race of the year will also be held. The first free practice session is scheduled on Friday afternoon from 11:30 to 12:30. The second and final Friday session will take place at sunset and will count as a more representative practice for the race, which will also be held in the evening. The second free practice session will take place from 15:00 to 16:00.

On Saturday, the same times will be maintained as on Friday. The third free practice will be run from 11:30 to 12:30. Then it is time for the first real showdown: qualifying. From 15:00 to 16:00, we will see who will take the first pole position of the year. Sunday's race will also start at 15:00.

Where to watch the Bahrain GP?

Like last year, all F1 weekends this year can be watched at Sky Sports, which has the broadcasting rights to Formula 1 in 2023. GPblog is present at the Bahrain International Circuit and so you won't have to miss anything from all the action here either. Each session can be followed via a live blog, which will appear on the website one hour before the session starts. As usual, the website will be the first to feature the reactions of all drivers, the results of the sessions and much more.

In the UK Sky Sports will also be broadcasting every session.
