Livery of Mercedes proves extremely popular among fans
This Thursday, the new cars will take to the track for the winter test in Bahrain. Here we will see all the new gadgets in action as well as the brand-new liveries. Formula 1 asked on Twitter which 2023 livery fans actually like best.
Alfa Romeo managed to secure third place with fifteen per cent of the vote. It has a livery this year consisting of a combination of red and black, both colours split roughly fifty-fifty across the car. Ferrari, with nineteen per cent of the votes, takes the second spot with its iconic red car.
Black is in favour this year, being the dominant colour on many cars. Mercedes therefore comes out on top with thirty-one per cent of the votes and its all-black livery, based on the 2020 car. So, for now, we won't see any more 'silver arrows' on the track.
No Red Bull in the top three
Whereas Red Bull Racing can normally be found in the top three for the battle for the world title, this does not appear to be the case in the battle for the most beautiful livery. The team hardly changed anything compared to previous years and thus was not seen as special by most people.
