Button names his favourite car livery for the 2023 F1 season

Jenson Button expects a three-way battle to take place between Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Mercedes in 2023. According to the former Formula One driver, the teams all have the potential to win the world title and the coming months should reveal which team is the favourite.

After Alpine's car presentation on Thursday night, it is clear what the 20 cars on the grid will look like from the outside. For now, however, the teams are holding their cards close to their chests when it comes to car performance.

Button was impressed by several cars, but believes one stood out the most. "It's the most beautiful car, I would say the Mercedes," the Brit stated in an interview with Sky Sports, in which he looks ahead to the new season.

He is curious to see how Mercedes will do this calendar year. "They might possibly be changing the sidepods. Surprised they didn't do that over the winter rather than into the season, but they obviously believe in the style they have for the first few races."

Button expects a lot from Ferrari

Where Button is delighted with Red Bull, he thinks Ferrari have also made strides. "The Ferrari looks nice. It looks like they've worked on areas where they were weak and they've taken some risks in other areas."
