Andretti: 'I don't understand what Domenicali thinks we did wrong'

Stefano Domenicali cited Michael Andretti's statements this week. The American is keen to enter the sport with a new team, but occasionally has said things that the F1 boss describes as 'not that smart'. Mario Andretti, father of Michael, has responded to Domenicali's statements.

The Andretti racing family is keen to make its entry into the sport with Cadillac, but Michael Andretti's comments, as calling the pre-existing teams 'greedy', are not appreciated by everyone. Domenicali firmly let it be known that he would not be swayed by Andretti's 'shouting'.

Mario Andretti offers different perspective

Mario Andretti, Michael's father, does not understand why Domenicali is making such a statement. In his view, Michael is only showing enthusiasm, he told PlanetF1.com:

“You can look at this thing in different ways, but I don’t feel that we have violated or have done anything wrong, just showing the excitement of doing this. So, if we’re a bit open about it, speaking with the press and so forth… that’s life, that’s the way we do things. But I don’t know where anyone could say we’ve done something really wrong, so that’s the way I look at it.”
