Bob Fernley has said Vijay Mallya will do all he can to support Force India and attempt to put the team in the best possible place. Mallya has now lost control of the team put is determined he will act in the best interest of the team.

The Silverstone-based team dropped into administration on Friday which was started by driver Sergio Perez. Speaking to Reuters Alan Baldwin, Bob Fernley explained how Mallya is going to act over the next few weeks.

"He will be able to discuss directly with the administrator the future of the team and Vijay is certainly not going to get in the way of making sure the team is fully supported.

"That’s not his way of doing things. The team means a huge amount to him and he’s devastated with the situation as it is at the moment. But as the major creditor, he hopefully can make sure it is in the right hands going forward to go on to better things."

There's plenty of buyers said to be waiting, but it remains unclear what exactly the next step is.

In testing tomorrow, Force India are expected to run with the new wing proposed for 2019. The administration case comes at the right time as the summer break is the 'cheapest month'.
