The German racing team will hope that the W14 will bring better luck than their problematic predecessor, the W13. Whereas Toto Wolff referred to the car as a "diva" early in the season, Hamilton soon called it a "nightmare" and by mid-season, the team boss was also a lot less positive.

Mercedes presented the car a day after Ferrari did, making it the second-last F1 team to show its new car to the world. Only Alpine will follow: the French racing team unveiled the A523 of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly on Thursday, a day after Mercedes' car launch.
