Raikkonen left Hungary feeling disappointed after podium finish

Kimi Raikkonen has departed the Hungaroring feeling disappointed and low despite a podium finish. He took the chequered flag one place behind German team-mate Sebastian Vettel.

If it wasn't for rain on Saturday, it's almost certain that the reds would have locked out the front row. This would have made proceedings easier on Sunday.

"It doesn't really feel like a good race, even being in third place," Raikkonen told Autosport.

"I think we had very good speed, but with what happened [in qualifying] and after the start we were [only] able to use our speed when we were catching up. Apart from that, you are offset in the position, and you know you're going to be stuck when you catch up."

It was hard to make overtakes and Hamilton predicted a train like race which was essentially what we had for the majority.

Because Kimi pitted twice, he had the chance to push in the open air. He found this part fun, but not the result.

"It was fun to push because I stopped twice [the tyres] lasted well and was able to go full speed. It doesn't really feel like a very happy finish, but as a team, we scored decent points," he added.
