Ferrari has recruited Lorenzo Giorgetti for a new position within the organisation, report Reuters. He has been appointed chief racing revenue officer by the Italians, with which he is to play a key role behind the scenes in Ferrari's growth.

With Giorgetti, Ferrari brings a lot of experience to the company. His past positions include chief commercial officer at Italian football club AC Milan, where he experienced working at the top of the sport for several years.

At Ferrari, he must manage to establish more long-term relationships with sponsors in all racing classes so that it can make new strides both financially and athletically. In doing so, he plans to report directly to CEO Benedetto Vigna.

Waiting for new F1 car Ferrari

Next week, Ferrari will present to the public the new car with which it will be on track in 2023. The team reportedly managed to make the chassis lighter, among other things, which would make it around a tenth faster per lap. The test days in Bahrain should show how the proportions actually are.
