Max Verstappen has given some more insight into his announced partnership with video game developer EA Sports. Speaking to GPBlog the two-time world champion explained what he hopes to achieve with the collaboration.

Earlier in the day, it was announced that Verstappen had entered into a deal with EA Sports, the publisher of FIFA video games and the official Formula 1 game, among others. At the press moment surrounding the unveiling of the Red Bull car for 2023, Verstappen was asked about the details of his deal with EA.

"I get a lot of points for my FIFA Ultimate Team," joked Verstappen. "It's an amazing brand. I am very involved in Sim Racing myself and EA have the F1 game. That's one thing. But I have a lot of ideas on my mind about potential other stuff we can do together but this is still early days. We just signed the agreement."

" Obviously it initially it has to do with the F1 game, being more prominent on that game," Verstappen continued. "Besides that, time will tell where it leads. It's a really cool brand, very open minded. I think for sure, they have so many games under them that there are endless possibilities."

It is certainly true that the company has a lot of games under its belt. Electronic Arts - the company EA Sports falls under - is invariably among the top ten biggest video game developers. Apart from sports games, the company also has several other big series under its umbrella, such as The Sims, Need for Speed, Battlefield, Mass Effect and several Star Wars games.
