Hamilton refuses to be distracted by strong Red Bull in Hungary

Due to the nature and characteristics of the Hungaroring, Red Bull are traditionally strong at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton isn’t worried about the Austrian team as he remains focused on the battle with Ferrari. However, he still believes he can win back to back races going into the summer break.

No driver has won the World Championship and the Hungarian Grand Prix in the same season since Michael Schumacher achieved the feat in 2004. The Brit knows it will be difficult, but his main focus is on beating his Italian rivals. 

He told the Reuters news agency: “Red Bull will be very fast, I know that for sure. They will be strong again in the upcoming races so that things will go the same in Hungary and elsewhere,” Hamilton said.  

“For Mercedes, it is not the best weekend. The Hungaroring is not a power circuit so hopefully that extra chunk of Ferrari power does not have that much influence there we can have a good fight with them.”
