The second ePrix of the Formula E 2023 season was run yesterday in Diriyah, with Pascal Wehrlein cleverly taking the win. Now the spectacle begins all over again and kicked off with the third free practice of this 'double-header' in the Saudi-Arabian city.

In the first phase of practice, NEOM McLaren took the lead, followed by championship leader Jake Dennis and former FE champion Stoffel Vandoorne. Lucas di Grassi lost control of the wheel and crashed into the wall. He was forced to return to the pits for repairs. Sébastian Buemi seemed to struggle with understeer for a while during practice, but without any crazy consequences.

Practice did not go well for Kelvin van der Linde. The replacement for Robin Frijns stalled in the first minute, but managed to drive away again. Nevertheless, he was later told by his team that there was a braking problem. He got the twentieth time of the grid.

Mitch Evans takes off with the fastest time

Dan Ticktum was on a roll and managed to maintain the fastest time on the grid for a while. On his last lap he spun and was unable to improve his time. Mitch Evans beat the Nio driver's time with his Jaguar and managed to finish fastest overall, followed by Ticktum and Jean-Éric Vergne.
