Formula 1 changes course: after America, gaze now turns to Asia

Formula 1 is going to expand in Asia. In a press release, the organisation reveals that a deal has been struck with beIN Sports to broadcast F1 across 10 different territories in Asia.

In recent years, Liberty Media has done everything possible to bring F1 to the attention of America. It has succeeded well. With Drive to Survive, more attention was already coming to the series, and by 2023 there will already be three US Grands Prix. The gaze now seems to be shifting eastwards, with a new deal for television rights in Asia.

F1 sets sights on Asia

For 2023, Formula 1 fans in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines will be able to follow the sport with beIN Sports. This can be via television channels, as well as through beIN Sports Connect.
