The only, three-day test for the new Formula 1 season starts on 23 February. In the meantime, there is already some action on track, for example by Ferrari. The Italians appeared on the track for the first time in 2023 this Tuesday.

Ferrari has taken the '2021 car out of retirement for three days of testing at the Fiorano circuit. Not to thereby gather information for the '23 car, but mainly to give the drivers their feeling in a racecar back. First up was Russian Israeli Robert Shwartzman to do 87 laps. He wil be the test and reserve driver next season.

Sainz and Leclerc

On Wednesday it is Carlos Sainz's turn and a day later Charles Leclerc can do his laps around Fiorano. Antonio Giovinazzi is not present at the tests. The Italian, also a test and reserve driver, has commitments elsewhere. Indeed, he is preparing for his season in the World Endurance Championship with Ferrari.
