Kevin Benavides won the Dakar Rally in motorbikes for the second time in his career on Sunday in handsome fashion. The Argentine defeated his teammate Toby Price in convincing fashion to show himself the strongest in the standings.

A factory KTM rider, Benavides had a challenge ahead of him prior to the 14th stage. Indeed, his gap to Price was 12 seconds, so he had to work hard to eventually emerge victorious.

However, Benavides, who also won once in 2021, proved to have no qualms about pushing himself to the limit on the final day. With a difference of no less than 55 seconds, the Argentine rider crossed the finish line, finishing on top of the standings.

Price and Howes in top three

For Price, losing the lead position came painfully. The driver had already won the Dakar Rally once in 2016 and 2019, but had to settle for the second finishing spot this time. American Skyler Howes finished more than five minutes behind Benavides in the standings, grabbing third position.
