Guenther Steiner feels that Haas F1 has shown itself positively this season. With Kevin Magnussen replacing Nikita Mazepin, the American formation managed to come out of the doldrums and grab a neat eighth place in the constructors' championship. According to Steiner, the team can be satisfied with that.

For the Haas team boss, it was a tough two years. The formation had expected things to be tough in 2021, but it did not assume it would be completely empty-handed. This year's 37 points gained give hope, but Steiner wants to take another step next race year.

He knows that this will require stability, although he dare not yet state how Haas will achieve this. "I don't know. If I had a solution, I would implement it. But nobody has a magic wand. One of the goals for the coming years is clear: to become better and more stable," he told Corriere dello Sport.

Steiner praises Haas staff

Haas is clearly betting on experience in 2023. Magnussen, for instance, will remain loyal to the team, while Nico Hulkenberg will take Mick Schumacher's place. Steiner argues that the solution lies not only with the drivers, but that he also has a lot of faith in his staff.

"You have to work together, like a football team. You can have the best players, but if you don't let them play together you won't score goals. You can and always want to do better. Basically, though, we have made great progress since 2021, where we struggled a bit."
