You'd think McLaren would have enough things on their mind at the minute, but they're still interested in participating in IndyCar. This is according to IndyCar CEO Mark Miles. He talks about his discussion with McLaren CEO Zak Brown.

"I had contact with Zak Brown since I also read that McLaren would not be interested anymore after the crisis. He told me that those stories were complete nonsense and that McLaren is really interested.

"I believe Zak on his word, so if he says they are still working on it, then I have no reason to think of anything else. Hopefully, they can take steps in a very short time, and we'll see them in IndyCar next year," Miles hopefully told Autoweek.

McLaren are really struggling in Formula 1 at the moment. Brown called a reshuffle as he plans to change the management system. To add to it, they have a driver who needs to win the Indy500 as he attempts to become the second driver ever to get the triple crown. Could this be a way of keeping Fernando Alonso in the McLaren garage?
