Silverstone gives Sergio Perez extra motivation

Formula 1 heads to Silverstone this weekend where at a lot of F1 teams are based. Force India are included in that bracket, and Sergio Perez confirms how it gives him extra motivation to perform on the track.

Perez was part of the pink panthers' double points score last time out in Austria. This closed the gap between themselves and rivals McLaren.

"Silverstone is a very special weekend for our team," Perez said in Force India's team preview.

"It's the only race in which we get to see all the team members, their families and so many guests: a lot of people we only see once a year. For us, this brings so much extra motivation.

"It's a race where we want to do especially well and I hope we get a result to celebrate properly across the road, at HQ."

Perez confirms the Silverstone circuit also helps bring extra excitement in the build-up towards the British Grand Prix. He and his team-mate Esteban Ocon scored points in last years race finishing 8th and 9th.

"The track itself is great and I love racing at Silverstone. It's such a fluid and fast layout and you really enjoy a Formula one car at its best around this track."
