After the Brazilian Grand Prix, the main focus has been on the unrest within Red Bull Racing's team. The Austrian formation was also not on the podium for the first time since the Bahrain Grand Prix. Yet there is also good news for the Milton Keynes-based team: the pit crew once again appeared to provide the fastest pit stop in Sao Paulo.

At the Mexican Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing failed to deliver the fastest pit stop of the day. That was McLaren, which even managed the fastest tyre change of the season at 1.98 seconds. Still, the Woking-based team had to acknowledge its superiority to Red Bull Racing at Interlagos. On lap 23, the Austrian formation's pit crew needed just 2.04 seconds to provide Sergio Perez with a new set of tyres. In doing so, the team completed the second fastest pit stop of the season.

Battle already fought

Like the titles that Red Bull managed to win in both drivers and constructors, the battle for the Fastest Pitstop Award has also already been fought. Red Bull had already secured its fifth consecutive overall victory in Brazil. The team now stands on 526 points, putting it 142 points ahead of McLaren. The battle for third place in the standings is still exciting though, as the difference between Ferrari and AlphaTauri is just two points.
