Nico Hülkenberg has warned his team that the fourth place in the constructors' championship is certainly not secured yet, as the team is still being chased by the likes of Haas and Force India.

Hulkenberg has been a very consistent driver for Renault this season, often finishing as the 'best of the rest' behind the six drivers of the top three teams. Renault now find themselves comfortably in fourth in the constructors' championship. Still, the battle is not over yet, warns Hülkenberg.

“I wouldn’t say it is so clear," the German told Crash.net when asked if Renault are the clear-cut fourth team.

"In Montreal the Force India was pretty close to us, it is still pretty tight there.

"Usually the good thing is that we are there consistently, sometimes Force India, sometimes McLaren, sometimes Haas that are chasing us or we are fighting with.

“That means that the points are distributed more in our favour, but I don’t see us clear-cut fourth.

"We have been pretty consistent so far, but we still have more work to do consolidate that.”

The Hulk's teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. seems to have to found his feet as well this year after struggling a bit at the start of the year. He looked very good at the French Grand Prix last weekend, even though his efforts were undone a bit by a late power failure which cost him several places.

All in all, Renault look like the clear contenders for the fourth place in the constructors' championship, a title which has been held by Force India for the last two years. The Pink Panthers have looked better in recent races, but their unfortunate double retirement in France might have been the final nail in the coffin when it comes to them potentially coming back to grab P4.
