Fresh off of his Le Mans triumph, Fernando Alonso has been linked with making the jump to IndyCar full-time. However the Spaniard says he is unsure as to when he will next take part in the great race as he chases the final piece of his triple crown dream.

Speaking to USA Today, the Le Mans winner kept his cards close to his chest and didn't commit his future one place or another.

“I am still digesting a little bit the Le Mans win and…not taking too much into account (for) next year’s project. As I said last year when I entered the Indy 500, (it) was a very attractive target to achieve the Triple Crown. Obviously the Le Mans victory puts a little bit closer that target, but I will think and I will see what I do next year.”

The McLaren driver has made his intentions clear that he hopes to win the triple crown in motorsport and become just the second man in history to complete the feat behind Graham Hill.

The 35-year-old will have big decisions to make about his future very soon and whether he will continue in F1 with an underperforming McLaren team remains to be seen.
