Daniel Ricciardo has revealed that his future is "the second most difficult" decision of the Australian's life.

Ricciardo described his decision to move to Europe from Australia when he began his F1 career, as the hardest decision.

The Aussie's future has been subject of heavy speculation and has been triggered by Red Bull's decision to switch to Honda engines from Renault.

Reports suggest McLaren are interested in the 28-year-old as a replacement for veteran driver Fernando Alonso.

Ricciardo said that he is eager to find out how the Honda engines fare in his car before make any rash decisions.

"It's probably the second most difficult," Ricciardo revealed.

"The most difficult was leaving Australia and going to Europe when I still didn't really know what my talent was.

"I didn't really believe I was good enough. That was a trickier decision.

"This will be second. It's big enough.

"The priority is to get a car that can win the world title because I really believe I can.

"That's the first thing in my mind. If there was no possibility then you have to look into other things.

"As a driver, I feel like I've done enough now.

"It's not about X amount of money, it's just what you feel your value is and what you bring to the sport.

"I feel like I hold a certain value so I want to match that with my kind of expectations and what people value me."
