Red Bull's title sponsor Aston Martin insists that there is no concern about potential brand confusion for next season.

Red Bull's current Renault engines have been labelled TAG Heuer for two years to stop there being two car brands in the title.

Aston Martin will have to share Red Bull's name with new engine supplier Honda next season.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer claims that the company have absolutely no issues with having to share the name next year.

"Very clearly, the team name is Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and then of course the FIA adds the (engine) manufacturer's name," Palmer said to Autosport.

"But let's be brutally honest. While it was called TAG, everbody knew it was a Renault.

"And in that sense, (what is) the difference between whether it is a Renault or a Honda?

"Aston Martin has zero cross shopping with both brands. So we are completely indifferent to the name."

Palmer revealed that his company were consulted by Red Bull about their decision but said that Aston Martin were very supportive of the decision, that was made earlier this week.

"If it was a Ferrari engine, I would have a problem! And that would be a red line," Palmer joked.

"But our customers don't cross shop us with either Renault or Honda, and can I say that Honda is more of a problem than Renault covered up with the name of TAG? I honestly don't think so."
