Ericsson set to catch up on team-mate using track experience

So far this season Charles Leclerc has dominated performances in the Sauber car, but Marcus Ericsson is ready to use the triple-header to catch up. According to the Swede himself, he has worked hard to find better form and will use his experience of the Paul Ricard circuit to achieve this.

“It will be an interesting weekend in France, since almost all drivers in the past have raced on the track, but have not raced in a Formula 1 car. I drove on the track a few years ago in the GP2, and I know that there are a number of interesting parts,” said Ericsson.

“Certainly the second part, with all the long curves, will be fascinating to get the hang of. I have worked hard on myself within the team after the last race, and I want to achieve a good result in France.”

Ericsson is currently 8 points behind rookie team-mate Leclerc who seems to be grabbing the attention of some bigger teams. Sauber themselves are 9th in the constructors' championship but will be looking to challenge Haas and Toro Rosso who are just 7 points ahead.
