Williams willing to keep Lance Stroll

Claire Williams claims she is happy with Lance stroll and insists Williams are going to keep him beyond the end of the current season. 

Stroll will enter his 27th Grand Prix when he heads home this weekend. In his time at Williams, he has managed the reach the podium once and scored 44 points. Many fans suggest Kubica would do a better job in the struggling Williams, but Claire wants to keep hold of Stroll’s talents. 

“I honestly believe he has a great career ahead of him in Formula One,” said Claire Williams. 

“He has worked very hard to improve the points he had to improve. He’s under a lot of pressure, getting criticism that is not deserved and I think he’s showing tremendous maturity in dealing with all of it. 

“I am very proud of the work he has done for us, and I hope that we will soon be able to give him a car that will allow him to show his full potential.”

The Canadian has scored four points this season, but that is probably limited by the car more than anything else. Most importantly for Stroll himself, he is beating his pointless team-mate Sergey Sirotkin.
