Lando Norris is looking forward to the race at Monza. After finishing seventh at Zandvoort, the young Briton is full of motivation to make an impact on the Constructors' Championship. The McLaren driver has fond memories of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

Last year's race in Italy was a historic one for McLaren. Teammate Daniel Ricciardo took the win and secured the first victory for the Woking-based team since 2012. Norris took a great second place and so it was McLaren who left Monza with a 1-2 in the pocket. Team boss Zak Brown even has this memorable moment tattooed on his arm, never to be forgotten. Norris also looks back to last year's race with great pleasure.

"The Italian Grand Prix is always an exciting weekend. My last two trips to Monza have been incredibly positive, with last year being one of my favourite F1 memories, so let's try and relive some of that feeling this weekend," begins the Briton in his preview of the race weekend in McLaren's press release.

Positive but realistic

Despite the positivity, Norris is also realistic and thinks it will be a tougher weekend. Nevertheless, he is also motivated to grab valuable points. "We can still grab points and make an impact on the constructors' championship," he said.

The McLaren driver says he will give everything at the final race of the season on the European continent."Because it's the Temple of Speed, I'm really looking forward to getting out on the track and seeing how far we can push the car."
