Ocon dreaming of Monaco podium from "perfect position"

Esteban Ocon says he is dreaming of scoring his first ever Formula One podium around the streets of Monte Carlo. The Frenchman lines up sixth for the grand prix after a great lap in qualifying and says it is the "perfect position" for him to score a top-three finish.

Force India is renowned for doing so much in F1 with so few resources when compared to the bigger teams however Ocon believes that qualifying was yet another demonstration of how good they can be.

“We proved we are the strength of the paddock,” he said.

“You know, with the resource we have, the money we have, the budget we have – and once again we come back and be ‘first of the others’.

“It is fantastic to see and you know and it is just fantastic for me to be working in this team – I enjoy every second with these professional people and today, you know, we start in a perfect position to look ahead.

“It’s always in my dream you know, that podium of course, but if nothing happens it’s going to be very hard – but we are in the perfect position to think about it!”
