2016 world champion Nico Rosberg can't see his former teammate Lewis Hamilton winning in Monaco, but the German followed that up by saying that Hamilton is not going to retire any time soon, as speculation of that has started to increase.

Rosberg thinks that Hamilton also knows that he probably won't win in the Principality.

"He won't be battling for the win here," Rosberg told Standard Sport.

"I'm sure he's already calculated everything.

"He won't break his rhythm, he'll be ready to pounce after this."

There's increasing speculation about Hamilton considering to retire from the Formula One, and Rosberg weighed in on all the debate.

"I don't talk to him anymore, but I don't get the sensation that he's going to stop.

"He's important to the sport and a role model for young drivers for sure.

"The only thing I think Lewis struggles with is to remain focused for 21 Grands Prix."

It definitely took a while for Hamilton to get going this season, but the four-time champion will keep his head down from now on for sure, as he's in the drivers' seat again in the title race.
