Christian Horner reveals that Max Verstappen is about the total package Red Bull Racing would like to have. The Dutchman has signed a contract until 2028, but the British team boss says there are no end goals for Verstappen. He also admits that he did not expect Red Bull to be such a success.

No setting goals with Verstappen

Horner is asked if Verstappen can achieve and improve on Lewis Hamilton's records. Hamilton's tally stands at seven world titles, 103 victories and 103 pole positions. The British team boss does not want to think about this just yet. "It’s very difficult to compare drivers," he said at Eurosport.

"The target is to keep building on what we’ve achieved. There are no finite targets. It's just about race by race, season by season and giving him a car that his talent warrants," Horner concluded.

Red Bull's success not expected

On a personal level, Horner says he did not expect Red Bull to become such a big player in Formula One. "I think I had the desire. I wanted to win and I had the hunger to achieve it," says Horner. That the 'journey' would actually go so well, Horner never expected. In addition, he admits that there is still more to come for the Austrian team. "We’ve still got more to find out."
