Mazepin races and wins in Silk Way Rally

After Nikita Mazepin suddenly found himself without a seat in Formula 1 in early 2022, the young Russian had to change course. These days, Mazepin is trying his hand at rallying and is doing so with considerable success.

Victory in seventh stage

Mazepin competes in the T3 car category for Snag Racing Team and won stage seven. "I have a very good feeling. We have had eight days, every day is different. Every day is a new test, but everything is positive," the former Haas F1 driver is quoted by Marca.

With his victory in stage seven, Mazepin has also taken over the lead in the overall standings in the T3 class. He himself says that this is not important and that he is happy to enjoy the raid. In 2022, the main competitors are drivers from Russia and Belarus. In previous years, the field was much stronger with drivers like Carlos Sainz Sr. and Nasser Al-Attiyah.
