Max Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull Racing until 2028. This means that he will continue in F1 with the Austrian team until he is 31 years old. However, the Dutchman says he is considering quitting after that season.

Quitting after 2028

On March 3, 2022 Red Bull announced that Verstappen will remain at the team until 2028. This gives the Dutchman the longest contract in Formula 1. Whether he wants to continue in Formula 1 after 2028 is not yet sure. In The Red Bulletin Heroes Edition Max Verstappen says that long-distance racing also interests him.

Whether Verstappen will race in Formula 1 again in 2029 depends on a number of factors. His car has to be good enough and he wants to keep competing for prizes. If the Dutchman has to drive in the back of the field, he would rather switch to another class.

No interest in rally racing with father Jos

The 24 hours of Le Mans, 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 hours of Daytona are all interesting races in which Verstappen would like to race in real life. The 24-year-old driver has already driven the virtual editions. Bathurst and Sebring are also interesting options, and he has already won the former twice in the virtual world.

Nowadays father Jos Verstappen sometimes steps into a rally car, but Verstappen junior doesn't see much point in that. The Red Bull-driver calls rally racing too dangerous and doesn't see himself getting into a car with a co-driver.
