FP1 LIVE | First practice for the 2022 F1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal

The Formula One circus gets a follow-up this weekend after an eventful Grand Prix in Azerbaijan. The teams will travel to Canada for the first Montreal race weekend in three years. The first free practice session awaits the drivers on Friday.

Ferrari faces an important task in Montreal. The Italian formation started the season well but failed to achieve a victory after the Australian GP. In Canada, they will therefore do everything possible to achieve this.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will, however, again face competition from Red Bull Racing. They no longer have to take Max Verstappen into account, because Sergio Perez is also in excellent form. The Mexican will try to grab his second win of the season.

The first free practice session will be mainly dedicated to monitoring the performance of the car on the Canadian track and adjusting the car accordingly. Later in the day, the drivers will have the chance to analyze the improvements in the second free practice session.
