The weather may well play a defining role at the Canadian Grand Prix. According to Weather.com the chance of rain is enormous, especially at the start of the weekend.

After two years of absence, F1 is back in Montreal for the Canadian GP. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was not visited for two years, but a race is possible again in 2022. The races here are not always exciting, but with rain showers on the way, it could be a really fun weekend.

Rain in Canada

On Thursday, it is raining in Canada. Although it is 26 degrees during the day, it is with thunderstorms and rain showers. The probability of rain on Thursday is also 94 percent. This ensures that the track is already quite wet on Friday when the F1 drivers start the first free practice session and even then it doesn't seem to get any drier.

On Friday the maximum temperature will be 24 degrees and thunderstorms are predicted in the afternoon. The chance of rain is then 79 percent. On Saturday it is much colder, with a maximum temperature of 16 degrees and a 52 percent chance of rain. It will remain rain showers. On Sunday it seems to stay dry. The temperature rises slightly to eighteen degrees and the chance of rain decreases to three percent.
