The Australian Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar until 2035. Stefano Domenicali is very happy with this new deal and the Australian organization is also proud to have managed it.

F1 to stay at Albert Park

On Wednesday, Formula One came out with an announcement: the Australian GP will remain on the Formula One calendar until at least 2035. It's no big surprise that Albert Park will remain involved in the premier class of motor, as the circuit underwent a major transformation during the coronavirus pandemic.

Domenicali is very happy that Albert Park will remain in F1 through 2035. ''The race has always been a favourite for the fans, drivers and the teams. We are all looking forward to being back in Melbourne next season with all our fans,'' the F1 CEO said in the press release from Formula1.com.

Joy in Melbourne

Martin Pakula, minister for tourism, sport and major events in the Victorian government, says: ''The Australian Grand Prix has never been bigger, with more than 419,000 people flocking to Albert Park for this year’s race. We know how important this event is to our economy and that’s why we’ve delivered the longest extension for the race since it has been held in Melbourne.''

''This is a sensational announcement that is simply great for Melbourne and Victoria. It builds on our rich motor sport history as well as Melbourne’s love of big sporting events and provides aspiration to the next generation of Aussie racing stars. We’re proud of our strong relationship with Formula 1 and together we will grow the sport in Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region,'' concluded the CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Andrew Westacott.
