Vettel: "Max has had some mistakes, but I think we all do mistakes"

Sebastian Vettel thinks it is a great development that his former teammate Charles Leclerc can fight for the world title this year. The four-time world champion sees that the new generation is taking over from the old guard, but according to the German, this is mainly due to the material.

Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso together grabbed thirteen world championships, but in 2022 they will not be competing for the world title. In conversation with The Inside Track Vettel says that the three of them are still enough to go for the World Championship title, provided the car driven is good enough.

Leclerc fights for World Championship

That is not the case at the moment, as the Red Bull Racing drivers and Charles Leclerc seem to be going to decide who will take the title. Leclerc is showing his qualities this year. "I think there's lots of drivers in Formula 1 that have a lot of talent obviously and Charles is one of them. He's in a good car and he deserves to be. So hopefully the car will be good enough for him to fight for the title this year"

Vettel continued: "Usually the right drivers get the right package at the right time. So I'm very happy for him. Vettel's future in F1
