It's not yet Mick Schumacher's season. After his second big hit of 2022, the pressure only seems to increase, especially since teammate Kevin Magnussen is doing little wrong at Haas F1. Sebastian Vettel and Franz Tost still stand by the German's qualities.

Steiner not satisfied

Schumacher happily stepped out of his battered Haas VF-22 at Monaco without injury. Although team boss Guenther Steiner is happy to see his pupil healthy, he says he is not happy about the second major cost of 2022. In Jeddah, Schumacher already crashed very hard into the wall, causing a lot of damage to his car.

Mentor Vettel says Schumacher is far from showing the top of his game: "I have no doubt that Mick can do more than he is showing now. But I think you [the media] should leave him alone a bit," the four-time world champion is quoted by F1-Insider.com. Franz Tost says to the same medium that he continues to believe in Schumacher. "You have to remember that Mick won Formula 3 and Formula 2. That doesn't happen by accident."

Schumacher still scoreless

Currently, Schumacher is still on zero points in the standings. Only Nico Hulkenberg, who filled in for Vettel for two races, and Nicholas Latifi are below him, due to worse results. Haas teammate Magnussen is on fifteen points.
