Aston Martin are under heavy fire prior to the Spanish Grand Prix due to the updates they have brought. However, Mike Krack reveals to Sky Sports that this is a 'normal' development process.

Aston Martin looks at RB18

Red Bull Racing is not happy with the new updates Aston Martin brought to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The AMR22 now looks suspiciously like the RB18 and at Red Bull they point to the departed engineers. According to Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, they might have shared sensitive company information, and that is forbidden in F1.

''We bring upgrades all the time, sometimes more visible than others. We have had a difficult start to the season, but going to Miami we managed to improve the car. This is another step,'' says the Aston Martin team boss. According to the Luxembourger, this was already the planning prior to the season.

Criticism from Red Bull

''You will remember the launch. We already mentioned we had flexibility in the car to develop along the journey which is what we did. It's a normal development process. We had porpoising difficulties with the other spec car, from that point of view we said we needed to change and make an update. That's what we did.''

Krack can therefore do little with the fact that Red Bull is making so much criticism. "We have been clear and open, we have been given the green light. We pursuit our path and continue developing to move up the grid,'" Krack concludes.
