Kevin Magnussen was unable to finish a race at the Miami Grand Prix for the first time this season. For the driver, it was therefore a real disappointment after the race, because he felt that there was more to come. The heat, however, did not do his performance any good either.

It was the first time in Formula 1 history that a GP took place in Miami. The drivers had to deal with a brand new circuit. However, they mainly suffered from the oppressive heat present in the United States.

In conversation with Speedweek.com Magnussen says that the high temperatures got in his way quite a bit. "It was the toughest race of my life, it was just incredibly hot," says Magnussen, who had to drop out after a crash with Lance Stroll. "It's the way it is. We left no stone unturned, but we didn't score any points."

No points for Haas in Miami

His teammate Mick Schumacher once again came up short to finish in the points. The driver collided with Sebastian Vettel and could therefore forget about a place in the top ten. Stroll himself made it to the tenth final position.
