Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were very happy with the organisation after the Grand Prix of Miami. The Dutchman, for example, was amused to walk onto the podium wearing an American Football helmet.

In America things are a little different and especially more grand than people are used to in Europe. After the GP in Miami the drivers were escorted to the podium by a police escort and on the podium the drivers wore American Football helmets. The three drivers praised the race weekend in Miami.

"I think it was an incredible atmosphere. I mean, it was really incredibly well organised. Really nice to see that. It’s not easy to put an event on like this. But yeah, they did an amazing job, and I had a lot of fun, driving around. I think track-wise, we can improve a few areas," said the Red Bull driver at the post-race press conference.

Leclerc agreed with Verstappen that the atmosphere was impressive. The Monegasque is especially impressed with how big the sport has become in the United States and how many people were in the stands. Sainz also speaks of a "mega event" and states that it is not easy to organize such a well-organized event at a first attempt.

"The helmet we had on the podium. We needed that in the paddock," Verstappen laughs. "Yeah, it was crazy. So yeah, congrats. I look forward to coming back here in the future," concluded the Spaniard, who did have some concerns about safety at that point of the circuit after his crash on Friday.
